Funny and entertaining, this video has some outrageous ideas for the fashion's "future" while others are actually pretty spot on.

That's How I Roll - Anything but plain, please

What I choose to wear day to day is determined by weather I am on my bike or not. When I am on my bike the go to garment has definitely got to be leggings, they are easy to wear, stylish, comfortable and you can still wear your favorite dress or skirt without worrying about giving a free peep show. Having style while I'm on two wheels is pretty important to me and what can I say, I guess I'm a little vain.

That said, I have tons of pairs of the same old plain black leggings and this sent me on a quest to find something a little bit different to break up the monotony of my bike outfits. I scoured Etsy to bring you all my favorite legging finds.

Leather Like Details
available at malu7

These leggings may look like they are just basic black, but this beautiful pair has a great spandex patch detail that looks a little like leather. Unleash your inner bad girl!

Tie it up
Available at MyLolaFashion

I love the dainty tie detail at the bottom of these leggings, super cute! A great pair to wear with a super cool skirt. These leggings will make your outfit stand out above the rest!

Playful with a pop

Available at designsbyamber

If you are looking to add a pop of color to your outfit, these are the leggings to go with! A great vibrant turquoise color with two super cute swallows on the back, a great surprise!

Black and Gold
Available at thrills

I adore these hand painted leggings! The gold detailing is subtle and stunning at the same time. A great way to add a flash of sparkle, super cool!

A touch of Class
Available at malu7

This cute pair has a hint of Missoni behind them. Love it! Would look amazing with a white lace dress or skirt. How awesome are these?

Tattoo like Tights

 Available at post

Alright, so I know these aren't technically leggings but what they are is technically awesome! I love the illusion of having a tattoo on your legs. I'm sure that these get tons of attention when worn. Amazing!

Marc Jacobs says There's so much striving for newness now that newness feels less new.

Interior Love: Integrating an Eames Lounge Chair

So, I'm moving into a new place in a few weeks! I am beyond excited, it's a super industrial and super modern style; exactly everything that I am in love with when it comes to modern loft architecture. I have always wanted an Eames lounge chair and I think now is the perfect time to figure out how I will incorporate this into a living type space.

What I am going for as far as the style of this new place is somewhat of a modern eclectic style. I love mid-century modern and also love ultra modern so I'm thinking I want to do a combination of the two with a few eclectic elements i.e. a tiny touch of Victorian.

Went off on a tangent there but after doing much searching on the internet, here are my most favorite integrations of the Eames lounge chair in a living space.

Beautiful integration of lounge chairs

Cynthia Steffe- Fall 2010

Yay! New York fashion week is finally here!!!

I really loved fell in love with this collection when I first saw it; it's good mix of school girl uniform + some inspiration from the 60's. I adore the knee highs and I think that the layering was well done. Love, Love, Love it!

Part 3: Valentine's Day Gift Guide: DIY Style

This post is all about DIY love style! It may sound cliche but thoughtfulness is a key ingredient for a remembered and cherished gift. What does your beloved love? Try to include these things when making a gift, it adds a personal touch that no greeting card company can match. Keep these things in mind when making your gift or planning your date to create an unforgettable Valentines experience! So here they are- 4 DIY Valentine's Day Ideas:

 Home Made Valentine

(cute homemade valentine found on Vintage Pretties Blog)

Yes, I know just hearing that brings back memories of red construction paper and glitter but not all valentine's day cards have to be the same.  A card can be a one of a kind collage of different pictures and images that your true love adores.

(About.com has DIY instructions for this one here)

To make it more modern, I would recommend not even using a heart shape at all. Include pictures of each other, add humor. Any author that your love loves? Include some passages/ quotes.

(non traditional valentine made by me)

Paint over it, add texture, burn the edges perhaps. Or simply make it goofy. The goal here is to make something special that includes a bit of your personality because that's why you're loved, right?

Be a poet or borrow a poem

(Poet Lost Memory-Grainger Museum Collection)

Another cliche, but hey, it is a timeless romantic idea. If you aren't a poet at heat you can always share someone else's poetry (given due credit to the author). A great place to find a bunch of great poetry is at Poem Hunter there are literally hundreds of poems to choose from all you really have to do is choose a keyword (i.e. love) and a surplus of savvy poetry will be right at your finger tips.

Cooking Something Sweet with your Sweet!

(Make it together Valentines menu at The Food Network)

There is something about cooking that is extravagantly charming, a great cooked treat or meal is always welcome! This is a great time to choose a menu in advance. Find out what meal makes your valentine's heart tick and make it together! Here is a great menu that is already put together, if that doesn't tickle your fancy there are amazing resources for cooking out there in the abyss of the internet, find one and go for it!

 Have a Picnic!

(photo via La vie Boston)

Indoors or Outdoors. If the weather permits have a picnic outside, a place where you can see the sunset is always incredibly romantic, get a great little wicker basket a bottle of champagne and go from there! If it's rainy outside or too cold for you and your honey a really cute idea is to stage an indoor picnic. Get a blanket and set the scene indoors, set up on the floor. Super cute and unforgettable!

Pre to the Fall- Stella Mc Cartney

Fashion week is just a mere week away! I am so ready for some new fashions to come out, I feel like the last few season have just been so painfully similar and I can't wait to see some new and creative designs. It is always a crazy concept that fashion lives in the future but at the same time, that's what makes it exciting, right?

I love it when fashion takes it's cues from the past! Here are some of my favorite Pre Fall looks by Stella Mc Cartney that have a vintage feel with a modern twist.

Part 2: Valentine's Day Gift Guide - For The Love of Bikes!

Wow, Valetine's Day is starting to peek it's head around the corner, but don't fret. Today I am going to share with you some great gifts to get that avid cyclist in your life! Alright, so part 2 of the series was inspired by my guy and I. We are both very into riding our bikes, so either of us would ADORE getting anything that has to do with our favorite hobby. I have compiled a list of some great unique and handmade bike items that are cool and functional for two wheels. Here we go!

Cycling Caps

A great gift for a guy or a girl! Keep your sweetie's head warm while also assisting them in their style.
This particular shop -Stellar Caps has to be my favorite place for cycling caps.

Not only are these handmade hats stylish, they are also recycled! Bonus for loving your love and loving the earth all at the same time! Super cute designs for both guys and girls!

Messenger Bag

A messenger bag is also a cool and practical gift for any cyclist and even non cyclist for that matter. I love the different patterns and designs from this awesome Etsy seller Marty May.

Some of these bags have a really cool print of a Rad Rider (remember that movie? ; ) on a bicycle. Super cool, super functional an all around great gift!

Bicycle Rack

Sick of tripping over that bicycle every time you come over to visit? Well, you don't have to nag anymore and at the same time you can take care of that itching question about what you were going to get for your favorite Valentine.

The amazing people at cantilever and press have made this amazing looking bike rack. This functional piece would look amazing in any house or apartment!

The rack's great looking mid century inspired design is like a work of art within itself, your biking Valentine will fall in love with it!

So that's it for today's gift guide, stay tuned for Part 3: The Grand Finale!
