Well, how do you tie a tie anyway????

Meet Matt, he really likes ties- scratch that- he LOVES ties, so much in fact that he has a dedicated a whole blog entirely to ties! (pun intended) Tiepedia has all the tie information that anyone would ever want: everything from celebs who wear ties to how to tie a tie. In this post we learn the art of tying a classic half Windsor knot.

Who knew it could be so easy! Classic, fun and super chic ties can be worn the traditional way (around the neck) or they can make a fun accessory to any outfit- head scarfs, belts.

Have a tietastic day!

Party Solutions- DIY wishing tree

Ahh, alas summer is here! It's the season of dads (yeah, that was last week) grads, weddings, babies and birthdays. Occasions that call for parties! yay! If you got stuck with party planning, (or just love to plan parties) here is a cute, unique and cheap memento that you can put together easily. It's a beautiful centerpiece made with Manzanita branches where guests can hang tags which they have written their best wishes for guest of honor.

It's more creative than a guest book and after the party, the tags can be removed and placed in a scrapbook! Easy, beautiful way to impress the guest of honor and all of their friends! It's a win, win!

90's Movie Love: Mallrats

"Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn for Sega."

This movie is brilliant!  There are tons of cute style cues in this flick depicting the perfect 90's grunge type looks. On the girls you can find many mini hemlines, crop tops, knee high socks and of course a multitude of floral print dresses. It really is a must watch for anyone who loves 90's nostalgia.

Interior Notes: Locker Love

It's been about 2 months since we moved into our awesome loft! It's really an inspiring, amazing place to be. Although all of our stuff is in this new space some of it doesn't have a proper place to be due to the lack of closet space, so it sits there until we find the perfect storage piece. My ideal find would have to be an industrial style locker. I love the mix of industrial elements in a modern environment.

The initial inspiration for the love of all things locker came from a visit to an incredible furniture store in Culver City called H.D. Buttercup. If you live in the L.A. area and happen to love interior design, you MUST visit this place! It seriously houses all genres of interior style under one roof, there is something for everyone!

Here are some great photos that share love of locker:

...and if you don't want to go full locker, but like an industrial detail you can add some vintage locker baskets and or tags to any decor. Here are some great Etsy finds:
